Salus Alliance brings together senior physicians, researchers and public health experts from Central and Eastern Europe. We connect the clinicians who see the consequences of weak prevention with the decision-makers who shape prevention policy.
Founded in 2026 by experts from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Serbia and Slovenia, Salus Alliance works to reduce the burden of cancer, cardiovascular and other non-communicable diseases. Europe already knows what prevents disease. What is missing is the bridge between evidence and policy. We call our work disease prevention diplomacy.

Our team
Our founding members are physicians, researchers and public health experts from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Serbia and Slovenia, working in their individual professional capacity.

Professor of Oncology, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and General University Hospital in Prague, Head of the Department of Oncology at the Military University Hospital Prague. Founder and co-chair of the Permanent Czech Discussion Forum of Experts on Health Risk Reduction.
